Come January 1st, the Tony Elumelu foundation would be launching the second round of the annual Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme (TEEP). Through this programme, Tony Elumelu has pledged a $100 million decade-long commitment to the support of entrepreneurs on the Africa continent.
TEEP would be seeding entrepreneurs with up to $5000 to kickstart their business ideas; they also assist entrepreneurs with training, mentorship and investments to further propagate their ventures.
In 2015, the foundation was able to empower 1000 African entrepreneurs selected from a pool of over 20,000 applicants according to a statement released on their website.
