IBM is once again poised towards giving startups the opportunity to show what they have got up their sleeves. They are inviting startups all over the world to register for the IBM SmartCamp 2015 competition.
The event which is backed by LAUNCH and angel investor, Jason Calacanis will give the top 10 winners the opportunity to mingle and work with the folks at Silicon Valley.
In Africa, the competition is scheduled to take place in Cairo-Egypt, Johannesburg-South Africa, Nairobi-Kenya and Casablanca-Morocco. Participants will have the opportunity to network, enjoy top-notch training and also pitch to seasoned mentors from local businesses, startups, and venture capitalists. They also stand the chance to study, demo at LAUNCH Scale, pitch on stage at LAUNCH Festival and win $25,000 in investments from Jason.
Interested African based startups are advised to register at the IBM SmartCamp in a city closest to them. The deadline for submissions in Morocco is already up, but Egypt, South Africa and Kenya are still open.
