A series of capacity building workshops for small and medium scale enterprises in Nigeria tagged ‘Business Leadership and Strategy Training (BLAST) – Business Growth Opportunity and Access to Finance for SMEs, is being organized by the Nigerian-German Business Association (NGBA). The workshops will focus on providing solutions and solving challenges that pose a threat to the effective management of SMEs and startups in Nigeria.
The workshops which will take place at the NGBA secretariat, Victoria Island, Lagos will be the first in a series of quarterly workshops that is to be organized by the NGBA. They are also scheduled to hold weekly from Thursday, August 13 to Thursday, 3rd September, 2015.
Facilitators expected at the event include Industry professionals, SMEs experts from the Bank of Industry (BOI), and Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM). They are expected to provide hands-on mentoring to participants, give insightful advice on re-positioning of business operations, marketing, finance, legal and management tips.
Speaking on what participating businesses are expected to take away from these workshops, the director-general of the Nigerian-German Business Association- Jennifer Anoyika says that
“The aim of this workshop is to effectively equip SMEs with requisite skills that will, in the short and long term, enhance the growth of their businesses and also improve their overall economic status. We welcome SMEs- both startups and existing organizations, to register and attend as they stand to benefit from networking and forging strong partnerships while gleaning relevant information that will help them succeed in their various businesses.”
