Applications are now ongoing for the 2015 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the year Award 2015 for East and West Africa. The award was launched in West Africa in 2011 and will be celebrating its fifth edition. The event which is an initiative of the Ernst and Young Global Entrepreneur of the year team, seeks to celebrate entrepreneurs who have helped to stimulate innovation, job creation and prosperity.
The firm which is a global hub of entrepreneurs and professionals have in the past celebrated notable achievers in the persons of Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Austin Avuru and Jubril Adewale Tinubu.
The award will be presented in three categories:
Lifetime: This category celebrates senior business leaders who have served as an entrepreneurial icon for several decades and are leaving an enduring legacy. This is a non-contested category as the winner for this category will be selected by an in-house panel.
Master: This category will honor individuals whose achievements have made them world-class entrepreneurs. To qualify for this category, nominees’ organizations are expected to yield revenues starting from $75 million.
Emerging: This category will recognize individuals who are building young businesses with high potential with minimum revenue of $5 million.
