Google Women Techmakers PH Wants All Women At Their April Meetup

International Women’s Day (IWD) is marked on March 8th of every year. In different regions, the focus of every celebration ranges from general respect and appreciation toward women to a celebration of women’s economic, political, and social achievements.

This day is marked by the Women Techmakers as an important moment to recognize how women have influenced the tech industry and beyond.

Google’s Women Techmakers program is an arm of Google that provides visibility, community, and resources for women in technology. From 2014 to present, Women Techmakers is continually launching global scalable initiatives and piloting new programs to support and empower women in the industry.

This is achieved by:
• Showcasing the work and passion of women in the technology industry by providing a platform to celebrate their talents and spotlight role models.
• Creating a supportive global community in which women
can connect, be inspired, and encourage each other.
• Providing opportunities to develop industry needed skillsets, aid career development, and support women to become industry leaders in all phases of their careers.

Come next month, Google Women Techmakers Ph would be putting together an event for women interested in technology. This is part of the Women Techmakers Global Event Series Celebrating International Women’s Day 2016. The event will feature a hackathon, panel discussion, keynote. etc. Everyone is invited. Come with at least two ladies.
